How much does therapy cost?

My rate is $130 per 50-minute session for all types of therapy. I accept payment via credit or debit card, cash, check, or FSA and HSA cards. My practice does not accept insurance, but I can provide documentation (a “super bill”) for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Contact your insurance to ask about out-of-network benefits. Due to my limited scheduling availability, late-cancels and no-shows within 24 hours are charged at full rate.

I can also provide EMDR intensive sessions, ranging from 2-4 hours long. which would be charged at the hourly rate times the number of session hours.

Good Faith Estimate (effective January 2022):

You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is a least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call HHS at 1-800-985-3059.

How do I start this process?

Contact me by phone or email to discuss starting services. Once we have determined that the scheduling and rates work for you, you will receive an email from TherapyAppointment to set-up your secure online portal. You will then complete initial paperwork before the first session, for me to review beforehand.

What can I expect during initial sessions?

During your first few sessions, we’ll get to know each other. I’ll ask you about your goals for therapy and how you expect therapy might help you.

We’ll discuss anything you’ve tried to manage your mental health, and what worked and what didn’t, so I can understand how to best help you. I’ll answer any of your questions about therapy.

Are virtual appointments available?

I meet with clients throughout Florida via telehealth (virtual/video) sessions. I also provide in-person sessions in Melbourne, which is in Brevard County. Please contact me to learn more.
